Their songs have drawn comparisons to Lou Reed, Billy Bragg, Violent Femmes, and the Mountain Goats, with lyrics dubbed “urgent and political” with a “free-flow, conversational style” (Allston Pudding) that is “carried by earnestness and empathy” (Worcester Magazine).
