The Jellybeans

The Jellybeans: A subset of Roaring Jelly, a mass fiddle band which plays a monthly contradance in Lexington, usually on the 3rd Friday night of each month, September to June. See roaringjelly.org or look up “Roaring Jelly”.

Like Roaring Jelly, the Jellybeans play sprightly, up-temp reels, jigs and waltzes for your dancing pleasure. For Porchfest 2026, we will play on the street at 73 Bartlett St., from 12 noon to 2pm. We’ll be (at least) multiple fiddlers, accordionists, and guitar players, along with our bass player. Our caller will be Arlington resident Jacob Bloom, who runs his own barn dance on the first Sunday of each month.

For Porchfest, have on a comfortable pair of shoes, and bring a water bottle. You do NOT need a partner; you’ll be dancing with lots of people!
