  1. Hello! I’m in a rock trio with two other Arlingtonians called Monotony Rocks, and we are seeking a porch to perform on. If you are still looking for a band for any of these time slots, please let me know 🙂

      1. Thanks for your inquiry Cari! We don’t currently have any recordings or online presence – this will be our first live performance as a group, though every member of this ensemble has been playing their respective instrument for over a decade, both solo and in ensembles.
We’re planning a set largely focused on minimalist rock music in the vein of bands such as Can, NEU! Joy Division and others, but we’re not planning to restrict ourselves to any specific genre.
Hope this is helpful! Thanks for reaching out.

        1. Got it. I just got an email last night that my daughter’s non-porchfest performance was moved to that date and may potentially overlap with the 2 pm slot, so for now I think it’s best if we don’t commit to hosting anyone until I have more information. I can reach back out if we are able to use that slot.

          1. Thanks for letting me know Cari. Best of luck to your daughter with her performance!

  2. Hi! I’m a local indie rock singer-songwriter, a solo act on guitar. You can hear my music via my Bandcamp link, but I’ve drawn comparisons to Jonathan Richman, Lou Reed, Billy Bragg, and John Darnielle.

If the 2pm slot is still open, I’d love to play a set.

    1. I’m waiting to see what time my daughter is assigned for an earlier in the day event she is performing at, I can keep you posted if we are in fact able to do 2 pm, but can’t commit quite yet!

  3. Hey, friends! I’m Sam Bayer, your smartass troubadour, your literate, exuberant guide to an imaginary world where housewives win the Nobel Prize in physics, poker-playing children gamble over their bedtimes, and metaphorical elephants pirouette in the den, four and a half minutes at a time. You’ll laugh, you’ll, well, you’ll probably laugh some more. No crying, though. Check out my tunes at https://sambayer.com. I am available for all time slots. I will perform alone or with my percussionist.

  4. Good afternoon
We are an acoustic blues duo, guitar/banjo harmonica, vocals. We perform pre-war Delta and Piedmont style blues. We’ve played several porchfest in the past and we can do your 2-3pm slot. bazablues.com

    1. Sorry for the delayed response- we would love to host you at 2 pm if you are still available. You can email me at cariellen @ Gmail to coordinate logistics. Once you confirm, I’ll slot you into the spot. Thanks, Cari

  5. We would love to perform at your house if the 2pm slot is still open. We are a low-key, 5-piece band, in our 40+/50+’s called The Double Lives playing creative rock covers — from Maneskin to Johnny Cash to Radiohead — and originals. Our music is family friendly. We have become friends playing together through the adult program at Watertown School of Rock and liked each other enough to do our own thing :). We have: Amber Elias (vocals); Craig Schubert (drums); Max Grinberg (guitar); Talia Imbrescia (guitar; bass); Dan MacDonald (bass). We have our own equipment, and cover if necessary, and just need a power outlet.
