Just saw your listing! Thrilled that you will be performing in our Bartlett Ave. cluster that is ten years old, attracts hundreds of visitors and this year the police have finally agreed to close the street. Lots of volunteers work to make it a success.
I am the volunteer who contacts performers and coordinates porches. The reason for coordination is that we want all performers to have a good experience. Critical for this is that performers be far enough away from other performers that there is no conflicting sound. We even have a volunteer who goes around checking that all performers’ sound travels out but does not conflict with other performers’ sound.
When your band is scheduled at 26 Bartlett, there will be a 4-piece band performing on the lawn near you at 22 Bartlett and a 7-piece band playing on the driveway at 30 Bartlett. My fear is that their sound – on both sides – will interfere with your performance because they are so close. My suggestion, I suspect this is not what you want but we need to find a solution to the problem, is for your group to perform at a location further up Bartlett Ave. or possibly one on Irving St. I can arrange this for you. We could meet and I can show you the options. We can also discuss by phone.
Of course, you can still perform at 26 Bartlett but you will have sound interference.
