Due to the rainy weather forecasted on Saturday, ARLINGTON PORCHFEST WILL BE POSTPONED TO SUNDAY, JUNE 18, 2023, 12PM-6PM.
IMPORTANT INFO FOR PORCH HOSTS – There are two important pieces of this rescheduling puzzle that our porch hosts hold:
1. Please check your “rain date status” on the edit page of your porch listing and make sure that it reflects your availability (“can do the rain date/can’t do the rain date”)
2. Please check in with your scheduled bands to confirm they are all available still for Sunday at their scheduled time. If for any reason they are unavailable but you’d still like to schedule a band in their place, please un-match (so they are no longer listed as performing). You may also reach out to bands “looking for a porch.”
IMPORTANT INFO FOR BANDS – There are two important pieces of this rescheduling puzzle that bands hold:
1. Please check in with your porch hosts to let them know your status for Sunday. Also, check your porch’s listing to confirm that their status for Sunday is “Yes we can do the rain date.”
2. If your porch is not available to host you on Sunday but you would still like to perform, please edit your band listing and cancel your performance from their porch and reach out to hosts who can do the rain date and are “looking for a band.” (If your band is an unregistered “write-in”, then you need the porch host to remove you from the schedule.)
ALL HOSTS AND BANDS have until 5PM on SATURDAY JUNE 17 to finalize any rescheduling they may need to do. Please be responsive to inquiries because of the short timeline for making changes. After that time, all porches that have indicated they can’t do the rain date will be unpublished to maintain an accurate map for Sunday’s event.
We anticipate this won’t affect most of our participants, but we want to empower everyone to feel ready for this since it is the first time we have had to utilize our rain date. The event will otherwise roll-out as planned – from 12pm to 4pm West of Arlington Center and from 2pm – 6pm East of Arlington Center. It’s likely to be damp on Sunday, so folks should be cautious if using electronics.
