| Dear Friends, When Arlington Center for the Arts (ACA) launched ARLINGTON PORCHFEST in 2016, who would have thought it would become one of our town’s largest signature events? Ten years later, some 10,000 neighbors and visitors will gather again for more than 300 performances on porches, in yards, and along driveways. Entirely free and absolutely full of joy, this celebration of music and community will literally run from one end of Arlington to the other on June 20, 2026. This year’s anniversary carries special meaning. After more than six years leading ACA, our Executive Director, Tom Formicola, is retiring. Tom arrived at the job with a deep conviction that the arts belong to everyone and he spent his tenure proving it. Under Tom’s leadership, and with a remarkable team in place, ACA developed and implemented a five-year strategic plan and a three-year accessibility plan, designed to build a culture of belonging across its classes, camps, exhibits, and events. Tom and his team didn’t just run programs; they created welcoming spaces where everyone could connect, create, and celebrate. |

| In recognition of the 10th anniversary of Arlington Porchfest, its spirit of inclusivity, and Tom’s meaningful contributions to ACA and our community, we’re asking you to make a gift. If Arlington Porchfest has meant something to you for these 10 years, consider starting at $10 — one dollar for each year. If you’re able to give more, of course, we’d be grateful for however much you are able to contribute. Every gift, at every level, will help to sustain the full range of ACA programs that have been bringing people together for nearly 40 years. We invite you to join with us as we celebrate Arlington Porchfest, Tom, and the significant impact he has had on ACA and our community. The porches may change; the players may change; the years will pass. But the community we continue building together is here to stay. Join us at Arlington Porchfest on June 20, and if you’re able, please make a donation in honor of Tom. Sincerely, |
