Iveria: Folk and Liturgical Music from the Republic of Georgia

Iveria, a male a capella enemble, has been singing music from the Republic of Georgia in Arlington since 1984. We performed at the last Porchfest. We sing love songs, soldier songs, laments, healing songs, hymns, and liturgical pieces from Georgia, whose polyphonic choral tradition goes back centuries, and whose music sometimes sounds Middle Eastern, sometimes Eastern European, and sometimes like nothing else in the entire world.

Size: 3-6 performers

  1. Hi there! I would love to talk to you about the possibility of performing in the front garden of Episcopal Church of Our Saviour. I think six singers could fit but I’m not sure. We have three slots available, from 2-5pm.
