Special Porchfest Finale: GARAGE BAND at 6PM

After the last porches wrap up at 6pm on June 15th, join us for GARAGE BAND, a family-friendly, post-Porchfest pop-up dance party at Arlington’s coolest performance venue!

Abe Salhi’s Arlington Service Station is a classic auto service station that has become, thanks to neighborhood artist Johnny Lapham, a public art landmark in the heart of Arlington’s Cultural District at 344 Mass Ave at Wyman Terrace.

From 6 to 8PM, we’ll close a side street for room to dance to swinging bluegrass tunes by the band Local Freight! And for the first time this year, there will be visual arts and crafts activities for all ages in partnership with Arlington’s new arts collective, Mystic Open Studio.

Garage Band is an annual signature event  of the  Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture (ArtsArlington.org), planned in collaboration with Porchfest presenters, the Arlington Center for the Arts
